To foster a love for health and fitness in our community, while supporting people to achieve their goals, take ownership for their wellbeing, and become the best version of themselves.
We believe health is like a circle: all aspects interconnected – body, mind, & well being. In order to achieve maximum health, you need to work on each of these components.
Wade and Mary Dickinson are the husband-and-wife team behind Fusion Fitness &
Nutrition. In 2013, without ever having met, they each left their jobs to pursue personal
training. They met while working at the same gym, where a shared love for fitness turned
into friendship, partnership, and eventually marriage in 2018.
Both grew up playing team sports and strength training from a young age. Their work in the
fitness industry sparked a passion for endurance events like marathons, ultra-marathons,
triathlons, fondos, and adventure races.
In 2018, they launched Fusion Fitness & Nutrition in North Vancouver, blending their
combined 24 years of experience and entrepreneurial spirit to help others live stronger,
healthier lives. Mary is also a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, and together they specialize in
helping busy professionals and parents build muscle, lose fat, and feel their best - without
spending hours in the gym or kitchen.
Now as parents of energetic 3-year-old twin boys, Wade and Mary truly understand what it’s
like to juggle fitness, family, work, and everything in between. That’s why their coaching is
rooted in sustainability, efficiency, and long-term results.
Fusion Fitness offers one-on-one personal training, holistic nutrition coaching, corporate
wellness programs, and their newest venture: an all-encompassing online membership
designed to support you wherever you are.
Whether you're just getting started or ready to level up, Wade, Mary and the Fusion Fitness
team are here to help you train smarter, eat better, and feel stronger - physically and mentally
- for life!
Wade has always been a multi-sport athlete; growing up he played soccer, hockey, rugby and an avid boxer as well. He loves the competitive nature, collective effort, and challenge of team sports. From a young age, he has always had a passion for weight training, which helped with the intense physical nature of the sports he played. Into his early 20’s, he focused on playing division 1 rugby and competed at the provincial level several times.
In addition to weight training, Wade has found a passion in distance running. Wade has completed two ultra-marathons, several full marathons, an Olympic triathlon, the Penticton GranFondo, and many half marathons and trail races. He also trains at a high level of boxing.
While Wade enjoys physical fitness, his number one focus will always be on how to give back to his community. He has volunteered with different organizations, such as the Langley Rugby Club, MEC, Salvation Army, the United Way, Sierra Club, Terry Fox runs, Children’s Hospital, and high school sports teams.

Afeef wasn’t the most athletic kid growing up, but he started doing martial arts around age 12, and learned to enjoy it. Around 15, he decided to embark on a weight loss journey. He fell in love with the grit of training. By the time he was 19, he was quite fit, but his body was tight and stiff.
He discovered yoga, dancing, acrobatics and free movement in his early 20’s, and this subsequently paved the way towards greater flexibility and health.
After a brief stint in the circus, he dove into the self development field and took many programs in coaching, health, mindset, emotional development, men’s well being, breathwork, and more – all while learning about the body and mind, and how they work synergistically. Since then he has dedicated himself towards living his best life, and helping others along the way.
What Afeef loves most about training is seeing the joy on people’s faces as they discover what they’re capable of, sometimes for the first time.
He specializes in strength training, flexibility, rehab, nervous system regulation, and general performance. His work with youth and adults cross-informs each other, and his mission lies in supporting individuals and communities in living a life of vitality and freedom through the beauty of physical development.

Wade is a fantastic trainer and I highly recommend him for any of your fitness goals. He knows how to push people just the right amount and is incredibly supportive. I was a personal trainer for 6 years and am VERY picky when it comes to fitness professionals. A good friend of mine also trains with Wade now and couldn't be happier.
Wade is awesome! My workouts were fun, challenging and engaging and he helped me achieve dreams I didn't think were possible. Wade's dedication as my coach was unmatched. I can't recommend him highly enough!
Training with Mary is a difference-maker for me. My 60+ year old muscles delight in her deep knowledge of them and their need for continued, balanced strengthening. She drives constant improvement by goal-setting and confidence-building encouragement. Plus, working out with her is fun!
Mary was great at asking questions and listening during our sessions; the two hours flew by, and when she presented my health protocol on our second visit, it was evident. I took her advice because that’s why I was there, and we established a good relationship. The subsequent visits were all very informative; knowledge I will keep forever. Mary arrived to every session with so much enthusiasm and a large smile; it was contagious. I feel this path she has chosen is a good fit.
