Training is so much more than meets the eye.
Yes, it makes you stronger, leaner, faster, more mobile, more resilient to injury, age better, look better, fight off disease….. The list is quite literally endless my friends. But one of the best benefits is something you can’t see. Well, maybe you can, in the way someone walks.
It’s about the person you become inside when you’re living this life and realizing all the above benefits from training. You are no longer the person you were before.
This is why I love fitness. It makes you a better version of yourself from the inside out. That’s the first and best transformation that will happen. Yes, some people struggle to make this happen but when it does there’s no turning back.

I’ve seen it countless times. When the switch is flicked the person becomes a runaway train and changes their entire life. It’s what I live for in this space.
Watching someone’s confidence build and their entire outlook on life can change. I remember one client that had lost over 30lbs after the first 6 months of training. The difference in her walk from when she first started to then was incredible. Head up, shoulders back, looking everyone in the eye to say hello – that’s a game changer and it came from within!
The resilience that a person can build from training is remarkable as well. When you train and intentionally put yourself under stress, all of the other stresses in life get turned down, a lot. Bouncing back from something that would have finished them prior to training.
I find that people that train have an overall more positive outlook as well. Not based on any scientific findings, just what I’ve encountered in 12 years of personal training. Training releases endorphins which will change your mood. Training regularly will have these endorphins as a regular part of your day.
Exercise is also an amazing stress release mechanism. Feeling Kinda overwhelmed? Go train or go for a run. It works magic on those problems! Not only does it help regulate cortisol and adrenaline but it also clears the head and allows time to think and work through your problems.

And lastly, it can help with your sleep, which has just as many healthy downstream effects as training itself. This is why I call sleep and training the two keystone habits to start getting healthy. They work together to make you superhuman! Feeling all the energy and positivity you were meant to feel daily.
Remember that training isn’t just a benefit to what you see in the mirror, although, there’s no complaints about that being better either. Exercise improves every single aspect of your life – from your own self-worth and confidence to your relationships with other people, working out will change you from the inside out.
